What is the science of loss?
Of missing someone so much you taste it as their face appears in your soul
So vivid are the colors of his skin
To touch his face again
At which portal shall I meet the ghost
To collect the dust I lost from my heart
I will myself to stay strong
While my loneliness lives in memories heavy like bloated fish
being pulled up from the bowels of the sea
and invited lovingly to the shore
The Science of Loss
